ABOUT THE STUDIO: Sherry Kim Piano Studio uniquely teaches and emphasizes a set of multidimensional values that can be broadly categorized into three pillars: STRENGTHEN ↔ Complete mastery of the fundamental elements – technique, theory, ear training, and sight-reading – is necessary to establish a solid foundation in any student’s musical training. SEEK ↖↗ Curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking are celebrated as the pathways to unlock true, dynamic, and passionate musicianship. SOAR ⬆ Students are inspired, motivated, and driven to reach for the highest standards of excellence and personal achievement through examination, competition, and performance. ABOUT THE TEACHER: Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in piano performance from Manhattan School of Music and is an active concertizing performer. She has won first prize in numerous international competitions and has performed in prestigious venues across America including Chicago Cultural Center and Carnegie Hall. Sherry has over 10 years of teaching experience and has taught over hundred students. Sherry’s students have gone on to winning competitions and participating in summer programs specifically designed for pianists. ABOUT YOUR LESSONS: Lessons are taught at the studio in North Brunswick, NJ. Students work towards two annual recitals (fall and spring) and have the option to participate in many more outside performances. My favorite part about teaching piano students is not the results they bring – it’s the journey that we go on together as we build our relationship with one another. It truly excites me to cater each student carefully so that they can make the most out of their experience as a growing musician. I love being able to share my deepest appreciation for classical music to anyone and everyone so don’t be surprised if that joy starts spreading onto you! 🙂
